Welcome to the life of a stay-at-home mom. There are way to many times I get asked by my husband what I do all day. Well now you all can find out. How I see it a working mom and a stay-at-home mom are not all that different. Lets run through the life of both.
A working mom gets her kids up and ready for daycare. This includes getting them dressed and fed. Then they drop the kids off at daycare and go to work. If they happen to work at the daycare they watch kids and clean up after them. You have breaks and lunch without the kids. Then the working mom picks up the kids and brings them home. She then have to give them supper and have some play time with the kids before bed. Then the kids get ready for bed and go to bed. By this time the working mom is really tired but somewhere in there she has to clean up the kitchen, the mess the kids made and do laundry.
Now for the stay-at-home mom. Just like the working mom she has to get the kids up, fed and dressed. Then instead of dropping them off at daycare she takes care of them and cleans up after them. She also cooks for them. She does not get breaks or a lunch. Most times if she has young kids like I do they accompany her to the bathroom so they can be supervised. Then she doesn’t have to pick the kids up from daycare because they are already home. She then makes supper and plays with the kids then gets them ready for bed. During this time she has to get the kitchen cleaned, pick up the mess the kids make and do laundry. So if you look at both the working mom and the stay-at-home mom they look very much the same but that the stay-at-home mom only has her kids, no breaks, no lunch, and doesn't get payed.
I am excited to be able to write just random things that come to mind and things that happen in my life. I hope you all enjoy reading it and getting to know me and my wonderful family.
