Noelle

I did one of Marcel now I am going to do one of my 2 year old daughter Noelle. I will start with a funny conversation I had with her.
Me: Noelle come back with my hot chocolate
Noelle: Give Marcel some.
That about sums up my daughter. She is all mom and loves her brother more then anything. God must have given her to me first for a reason.
Here she is waiting to open presents. She was sick this day. She was in a good mood like always when she is sick. That night she cried for hours because she was in pain. She ended up with a fever of 103.

Here she is screaming. She cried a lot. She was a more difficult baby and now toddler. She gets over stimulated easily. I have a feeling when she starts school she will be hard to teach because she will not be able to tune stuff out.

She was always a good eater but we struggle keeping weight on her. This here is rice with cheese and tomato sauce and corn. She asked me to make corn. She loves her veggies.

Noelle is opening her presents. She got a lot of Dora stuff. She loves Dora. She thought all of the presents where hers. It was hard trying to get her to let Marcel open his presents. I guess that is what you get when you have birthdays so close to Christmas.

Here he is letting me pull her on the sled. She is a very timid child. It took me forever to get her to let me pull her. She is scared of anything that moves. She still will not go on the rides at the mall.

She loves caring for everyone and everything. In this picture she is giving her monkey on her shirt Marcels passy.
She went into her room to play. I guess she was too tired.
She started potty training early but because I was lazy about it she is still working on it. She looks so proud of herself in this one.

We attached her crib to our bed because that is he only way I could get her to sleep. This was after I got up in the morning She also sweet a lot so she was always just in a diaper at night during the summer.
I took a lot of pictures of her sleeping. It was the easiest way to not get her crying. Marcel was awake in the last one. I really wanted to get them matching pjs.
Her eating a crust less pizza at a pizza buffet. Taking her out to eat is always a challenge with her gluten allergy. She was so happy she could eat something she liked. I love seeing her happy.

Well that is the first of many posts on my special daughter. When I first found out I was pregnant with her I told Jay that there was something special about her. She proved that to us over and over again but that is a story for another time.

Marcel

On days I don't have a ton to say I wanted to spend writing about one family member. Today is Marcel's day. I am a person of few words so I thought I would share some pictures.
This picture is one of my favorite. He has on his outfit that his great grandma sent him. I love his wonderful smile. He is always so happy.
Here he is sleeping on daddies lap. He still loves his swaddle. This one is still too big for him but it works in a pinch.
He was getting the Christmas tree here. He loved the sled. He is very brave.

Just another picture of his smile.

One of my favorite outfits on him. He looks so good in yellows and oranges.

Me and Marcel. He is a mommy's boy. He cries every time anyone holds him. I hope he will be good for my niece in two days.

Him standing in his playpen. He loves standing but he doesn't pull himself up yet. He is so proud of himself in this picture.

Noelle checking his diaper. She loves to change him and he adores her.

Here he was sleeping but woke up. He doesn't sleep well without that swaddle.
Noelle got a computer and he keep taking it so we got him his own for Christmas.

His first present Christmas day. He looks so happy but then he is almost always happy.

I just realized I put in 11 pictures so I should end this. I will put more about him again another day. In a way I feel like I said a lot about him in very few words. I guess a picture is worth a thousand words so here is my 11,000 word post.

Welcome to the life of a stay-at-home mom. There are way to many times I get asked by my husband what I do all day. Well now you all can find out. How I see it a working mom and a stay-at-home mom are not all that different. Lets run through the life of both.
A working mom gets her kids up and ready for daycare. This includes getting them dressed and fed. Then they drop the kids off at daycare and go to work. If they happen to work at the daycare they watch kids and clean up after them. You have breaks and lunch without the kids. Then the working mom picks up the kids and brings them home. She then have to give them supper and have some play time with the kids before bed. Then the kids get ready for bed and go to bed. By this time the working mom is really tired but somewhere in there she has to clean up the kitchen, the mess the kids made and do laundry.
Now for the stay-at-home mom. Just like the working mom she has to get the kids up, fed and dressed. Then instead of dropping them off at daycare she takes care of them and cleans up after them. She also cooks for them. She does not get breaks or a lunch. Most times if she has young kids like I do they accompany her to the bathroom so they can be supervised. Then she doesn’t have to pick the kids up from daycare because they are already home. She then makes supper and plays with the kids then gets them ready for bed. During this time she has to get the kitchen cleaned, pick up the mess the kids make and do laundry. So if you look at both the working mom and the stay-at-home mom they look very much the same but that the stay-at-home mom only has her kids, no breaks, no lunch, and doesn't get payed.
I am excited to be able to write just random things that come to mind and things that happen in my life. I hope you all enjoy reading it and getting to know me and my wonderful family.
